I'm Liz, a design system professional by day, amateur interior designer and dog enthusiast by night. My portfolio highlights a selection of recent projects and below is a little more about why I love design.

Aside from creative endeavours, I have always had a love for travel. Whether it’s familiar places with family and friends, or venturing to new cities and finding the best hidden restaurants, I can never get enough.

In between dreaming up new trips I can be found curled up with my two dogs or cat (just not at the same time), at a local winery or brewery with friends, or browsing the local antique store.

What keeps me designing…

A love for working with other creatives minds.

While the right playlist and cup of tea can help me focus on a task for hours on end, I find immense value in working directly with other creative minds. Designers, engineers, photographers, or anyone involved on a project all have a unique perspectives to offer and help teams achieve their goals.

An eagerness to learn new skills and share fresh ideas.

Great design is timeless, but the tools that help us design and the way we create are ever changing, now more than ever. I find that sharing ideas with co-workers, reading articles, professional courses, and simple online educational videos can be some of the best ways to continue to learn and share with those around me.

Constantly considering design and functionality in all stages of life.

My passion for design started early, when I was in third grade I told my teacher I wanted to be a car designer. During high school and college, I soaked up every bit of art and design I could absorb. Years spent as a young professional were filled with new ideas and asking why. These days I champion for thoughtful, researched, and accessible design in all aspects of my professional life.
